Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SMK Esports ("SMK", "we", "us") handles information when you visit smkesports.com (the "Site") or play SMK Rush on the Site (the "Game"). If you have questions, email contact@smkesports.com.
Summary
- We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not sell your personal information.
- The Game saves your progress (coins, unlocks, settings and stats) in your browser's local storage on your device. It is not sent to us.
- The Site and Game may show ads served by Google. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, as described below.
- Our hosting provider processes basic technical data (such as IP addresses) to deliver and protect the Site.
Information we collect
Information you give us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply and keep a record of the conversation.
Information stored on your device
SMK Rush uses your browser's local storage to save game progress and settings. The Site also uses local storage to remember that you dismissed the cookie notice. This data stays on your device; you can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for smkesports.com.
Technical information
Like most websites, our hosting and content-delivery provider (Cloudflare) automatically processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of the request. This is used to deliver the Site, keep it secure and prevent abuse. We do not use it to identify you.
Advertising and Google
We use, or may use, Google AdSense and Google's H5 Games Ads to show ads on the Site and in the Game. These are third-party vendors.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices (US) or www.youronlinechoices.eu (EU).
- To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services, and Google's advertising policies.
Where personalised ads are not allowed or you have not consented, Google may show non-personalised ads, which still use cookies for frequency capping, aggregated reporting and fraud prevention.
In the Game, ads appear only between runs or when you choose to watch one (for example, to continue a run or double the coins from a run). Ads never appear during active play, and you can turn off between-run ads in the Game's Settings.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Local storage is a similar browser feature used to store data on your device.
| What | Set by | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Game save (local storage) | SMK Rush | Saves coins, unlocks, settings and stats on your device. Necessary for the Game to work. |
| Cookie notice (local storage) | This Site | Remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice. |
| Security cookies | Cloudflare | May be set to protect the Site from bots and abuse. |
| Advertising cookies | Google and its partners | Serve, personalise (where permitted) and measure ads, limit how often you see an ad, and prevent fraud. |
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block local storage, SMK Rush will still run but cannot keep your progress between visits.
Your choices and consent
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we will ask for your consent before ads that use cookies for personalisation are shown, using a consent tool certified under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. You can change your choice at any time through the privacy settings link that tool provides. Residents of some US states have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising; you can do so through the same tool where offered, through your browser's Global Privacy Control signal, or by using the Google opt-out links above.
Links to other sites
The Site links to services we do not control, including Exclaim (our merch store), Discord and X. When you use them, their own privacy policies apply. Purchases of SMK merch are processed by Exclaim, not by us.
Children
The Site and Game are intended for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Data retention and security
We keep emails only as long as needed to respond and for our records. Game data stays on your device until you delete it. We use reputable providers and HTTPS to protect data in transit, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. Email contact@smkesports.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
